Sliding Door Wardrobes
One type of wardrobe available for the bedroom is sliding wardrobes. These usually come as double or triple wardrobes with each door being able to slide left, right of both. This is good when you have two people using your wardrobe so both sides needed to be accessed at the same time or near enough anyway.
They can also be good if you have two different sets of clothes such as work clothes and casual clothes so switch from one side to the other depending on the time of day in your bedroom and the use of your sliding wardrobe has at that particular time.
Sliding wardrobes are usually designed to the door slides on a set of runners with one door slightly in front of the other so they can pass each other without knocking into each other.
There are a couple of disadvantages over a sliding wardrobe compared to a hinged door wardrobe in that over time the door and its roller method could become worn out and the door looses its position and needs fixing.
The main advantage of a sliding wardrobe is not needing any space in front of the wardrobe for a door which swings out when opening the wardrobe.
