Tidying Childrens Wardrobes
If your children’s wardrobe is extremely untidy then it can be a nightmare looking to clean up their room with all their toys and games thrown everywhere apart from tidied away in their wardrobe and chest of drawers. Parents ideally need to think of a way to teach their kids to put away their toys when they have finished playing with them.
If you can think of some fun ideas then you are on your way to a very tidy children’s bedroom with everything stored away in their wardrobe. As many children love movies including action heroes, sports and particular cartoons you may find making the bedroom a themed bedroom or at least a themed wardrobe will entice them into tidying away their mess before leaving their bedroom.
This could take much less work than you would think with many wardrobes providing a good amount of storage space and enough surface areas such as a the inside ways for some excellent colour schemes. Once you have a themed wardrobe, opening the doors to this useful piece of bedroom furniture can be turned into a fun activity rather than a chore. All it takes is a little creativity and some hard work for an hour or two and you can transform behaviours and the atmosphere of their bedroom.
As with adults, children take more care with toys which mean more to them so to be able to have them store these toys in their wardrobe is ideal. Not only will it mean a tidy bedroom but also the toys will last longer and not be trod upon. One idea would be to add some coloured lighting to the inside of their bedroom wardrobe which either lights up when you open the doors or by the flick of a switch.
An example of how this can change an atmosphere is by looking at restaurants and wine bars in town which change the mood with lightening. Being able to add interesting lights to their wardrobe will add exciting when opening to door so more likely to want to tidy their toys and games from the floor. If your kids wardrobe is a walk in wardrobe then you have much scope and options on areas to paint and light up as well as store items.
If you have the budget, you could invest in a professional company to spruce up their wardrobe. In many countries, children’s decorating is big business even with individual pieces of furniture to be made more interesting.
On the other hand, no matter how hard you work in attempting to teach your children to be tidy, it could be a lost cause. Some children will not develop these skills until later or life or even remain untidy into their adulthood. Either way, designing and decorating children’s wardrobes is still a fun thing to do when you are an adult and parent.
